What is dsx1CurrentAIS?
This counter tracks the number of seconds in which the DS1/T1 interface detected Alarm Indication Signal (AIS) conditions during the current 15-minute monitoring interval. AIS is an alarm signal from the carrier indicating a problem on the provider side of the circuit, not the customer equipment. Operators monitor this counter to understand carrier-side circuit quality and to correlate AIS events with reported service degradation or outages.
