What is ds1ExcessiveLocalMfAlarmTrap?

This SNMP trap notification fires when the number of Loss of Multiframe Alignment events detected at a user E1 interface within the last minute exceeds a configured threshold (typically 10 for the LA-110 device). Multiframe alignment loss indicates synchronization problems on the E1 line. An operator receives this trap to alert them to serious line quality issues that require immediate investigation and may indicate circuit or equipment failure.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' RAD-MIB::ds1ExcessiveLocalMfAlarmTrap
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.164.3.1.6.4.0.17

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:57740->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (257711500) 29 days, 19:51:55.00
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: RAD-MIB::ds1ExcessiveLocalMfAlarmTrap

SNMPv3 example:

snmptrap -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3user -a SHA -A "AuthPass1" -x AES -X "PrivPass1" <manager> '' RAD-MIB::ds1ExcessiveLocalMfAlarmTrap
