Description: Manages BATM Advanced Communication resilient link configuration for automatic failover between primary and backup uplink ports.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is PRVT-RESILIENT-LINK-MIB?
PRVT-RESILIENT-LINK-MIB is a vendor MIB from BATM Advanced Communication for configuring resilient link failover between a primary and backup uplink port on its switches. It exposes configuration and state objects governing automatic switchover from a primary to a backup port when the primary link fails. Its monitoring value centers on link redundancy/fault status: an operator can determine which link (primary or backup) is currently active and detect whether a failover event has occurred, directly indicating a hardware/link fault on the primary path. It is a proprietary redundancy mechanism that likely complements standard link-state monitoring conventions (such as ifOperStatus in IF-MIB) rather than replacing them. It is deployed on BATM Advanced Communication switches at network edges where uplink redundancy is required for high availability. Engineers can download the PRVT-RESILIENT-LINK-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in PRVT-RESILIENT-LINK-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
No sample_objects were provided in the source, so specific object or table names cannot be cited; in general an admin would poll active-link status objects to determine whether traffic is currently on the primary or backup uplink port. A switch from primary to backup state would indicate the primary uplink has failed and should be investigated. This remains a general description pending concrete identifiers.
