Description: Provides SNMP agent identification and management objects for PairGain Technologies DSL access equipment.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is PAIRGAIN-AGENT-MIB?

PAIRGAIN-AGENT-MIB is a PairGain Technologies (later ADC/Tellabs, DSL access equipment) proprietary MIB reporting SNMP-agent identity and configuration on PairGain access units. Its objects cover unit type, firmware/software version, boot protocol/file, authentication-traps and traps enable, MIB level, slot ID, IP address/netmask/default gateway, boot-server address, a trap-receiver table (status, network address, community), reset/restart actions, boot mode, an NVRAM-write action, and local-image validity/version/load-mode. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm boot configuration and trap-receiver settings, and remotely reset a PairGain access unit. It is deployed on PairGain Technologies (ADC/Tellabs) DSL access equipment. Engineers can download the PAIRGAIN-AGENT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in PAIRGAIN-AGENT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
