Category: Network Management
Description: Provides Newbridge Networks GNI module management objects for network element software management.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is NNCGNI00X9-MIB?
NNCGNI00X9-MIB is a Newbridge Networks (later Alcatel) proprietary MIB (built on the vendor's NNCGNI00X1-SMI enterprise family) reporting SDC (Sub-rate Data Channel) physical-connector detail. Its SDC table, keyed by position/port/circuit index, records connector gender, configured and actual speed, while a leads table records per-lead admin/operational state and a UI (user-interface) name for each control-lead signal. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm a sub-rate data channel's negotiated speed and control-lead states. It is deployed on Newbridge Networks (Alcatel) sub-rate data multiplexing equipment. Engineers can download the NNCGNI00X9-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in NNCGNI00X9-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Newbridge Networks (Alcatel) sub-rate data multiplexing equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks nncExtSdcActualSpeed against the configured speed to confirm a sub-rate data channel negotiated correctly on Newbridge Networks (Alcatel) equipment.
What Can Be Monitored
- sub-rate data channel speed and control-lead state
