What Is NNC-INTERVAL-STATISTICS-TC-MIB?

NNC-INTERVAL-STATISTICS-TC-MIB is a Newbridge Networks (later part of Alcatel) textual-conventions module that defines common data types for interval-based performance-statistics collection, used across multiple Newbridge equipment MIBs that gather periodic performance counters. As a TC-only module it introduces no runtime objects of its own, so it exposes no direct interface, environment, or performance data. Its role is an enabling one, standardizing how interval-collected performance data - such as counts, valid-interval flags, or interval identifiers - is represented in the actual data MIBs, which are what report throughput and error statistics used to gauge a device's operational health over time. Downstream Newbridge performance-monitoring MIBs depend on this module for consistent interval-statistics typing, and the NNC-INTERVAL-STATISTICS-TC-MIB MIB file itself carries no thresholds or counters, only the shared type definitions those modules import. It would be used in legacy Newbridge Networks/Alcatel ATM and WAN networking equipment collecting historical performance statistics.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in NNC-INTERVAL-STATISTICS-TC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Newbridge Networks/Alcatel ATM and WAN networking equipment

Monitoring Examples

This is a textual-conventions-only module with no runtime data objects, so no concrete monitoring scenario applies here; downstream Newbridge performance-statistics MIBs import these interval-related data types to represent periodic counter collection consistently.
