Description: NETGEAR-OUTBOUNDTELNET-PRIVATE-MIB module
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is NETGEAR-OUTBOUNDTELNET-PRIVATE-MIB?
NETGEAR-OUTBOUNDTELNET-PRIVATE-MIB is a Netgear (Broadcom FastPath switch software) proprietary MIB configuring outbound Telnet client sessions initiated by the switch itself. Its three objects set the outbound-Telnet admin mode, the maximum number of concurrent outbound sessions, and the session timeout. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm outbound Telnet is enabled (or disabled for security) and its session limits on a Netgear FastPath switch. It is deployed on Netgear FastPath-based managed switches. Engineers can download the NETGEAR-OUTBOUNDTELNET-PRIVATE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in NETGEAR-OUTBOUNDTELNET-PRIVATE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Netgear FastPath-based managed switches
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks agentOutboundTelnetAdminMode to confirm outbound Telnet sessions from the switch itself are disabled for security on a Netgear FastPath switch.
