Category: IP Routing
Description: Manages MICOM IP RIP routing protocol configuration and neighbor state.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is MICOMIPRIP-MIB?
MICOMIPRIP-MIB is a MICOM Communications proprietary MIB configuring IP routing (RIP) on MICOM access devices. Its objects cover RIP enable, default-route enable, RIP compatibility mode, and an IP-address table (ifIndex, address, MTU, data-link type, keepalive, forward-broadcast flag, unnumbered-interface flag, routing-protocol type) duplicated in an extended IP-address table, alongside BOOTP-relay enable/server-address settings. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm whether RIP is propagating routes and how IP interfaces are addressed on a MICOM access device. It is deployed on MICOM Communications access equipment. Engineers can download the MICOMIPRIP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in MICOMIPRIP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- MICOM Communications access equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks mcmIpRipEnable and mcmIPBootpRelayServerAddr to confirm RIP routing and BOOTP relay configuration on a MICOM access device.
What Can Be Monitored
- RIP routing and BOOTP relay configuration
