All MIBs › MICOM-MPANL-SIGNALING-MIB
Category: WAN
Description: Monitors MICOM MultiProtocol ANL signaling operations and call control states.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is MICOM-MPANL-SIGNALING-MIB?
MICOM-MPANL-SIGNALING-MIB is a proprietary MICOM MIB for MultiProtocol Analog Network Line (ANL) signaling equipment used in legacy telecom multiplexing systems. It exposes configuration-category data including node and customer identity, DNA addressing prefixes (in both running 'mcm' and saved non-volatile 'nvm' variants), and per-link DTE/DCE receiver bandwidth and sub-channel range settings. Its main monitoring value is configuration/status verification of signaling links, confirming that bandwidth and sub-channel allocations on a link are correctly set and that the running configuration matches the saved non-volatile configuration. It is a standalone proprietary enterprise MIB with no evident dependency beyond the base SNMPv2 SMI conventions. It is deployed on MICOM multiplexer/signaling equipment handling multi-protocol analog network line signaling in legacy telecom and data networks. Engineers can download the MICOM-MPANL-SIGNALING-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in MICOM-MPANL-SIGNALING-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- MICOM multiplexer/signaling equipment
Monitoring Examples
Reading mcmMSMDTELinkCfgTable indexed by mcmMSMDTELinkCfgIfIndex shows mcmMSMDTELinkCfgMaxSubChannelRange along with the DTE and DCE receiver bandwidth settings. A mismatch between mcmMSMDTELinkCfgDTEReceiverBW and DCEReceiverBW would indicate a misconfigured signaling link likely to cause call or data errors. Comparing mcmMSMProfileCfgGroupNodeID/CustomerID against their nvm-prefixed counterparts confirms the running configuration matches the saved configuration.
What Can Be Monitored
- node ID and customer ID identity
- DNA prefix configuration
- DTE link max sub-channel range
- DTE/DCE receiver bandwidth setting
- running vs saved (nvm) config consistency
