Description: Cisco ME1200 Metro Ethernet switch MIB providing MAC address table management, aging, and static entry configuration objects.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ME1200-MAC-MIB?

ME1200-MAC-MIB is a Cisco Systems proprietary MIB (extending CISCOME1200-MIB) managing MAC address table (FDB) configuration on the Cisco ME1200 Ethernet Access Device. Its objects cover a non-volatile-entry capability maximum, a global FDB aging time, an FDB-configuration table (VLAN, MAC address, port list, action) with an associated row-editor working-set, a per-port MAC-learning table (learn mode, change-allowed flag), a per-VLAN MAC-learning table (mode), and an FDB table (VLAN, MAC address). As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm MAC-learning mode per port/VLAN and manage static FDB entries directly. It is deployed on the Cisco ME1200 Ethernet Access Device. Engineers can download the ME1200-MAC-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ME1200-MAC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco ME1200 Ethernet Access Device

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks me1200MacConfigPortLearnLearnMode to confirm MAC learning is disabled on a locked-down access port before troubleshooting an unexpected new MAC address appearing on a Cisco ME1200.

What Can Be Monitored
