What Is LUMINOUS-TC-MIB?
LUMINOUS-TC-MIB is a Luminous Networks proprietary textual-conventions MIB (Luminous Networks was a broadband access/networking equipment vendor) that defines shared data types and enumerations used across the rest of the Luminous SNMP MIB family. It carries no runtime managed objects of its own; it exists solely to standardize the type conventions that Luminous's functional MIBs (system, interface, alarm, performance) use to represent their values consistently. Because it has no instance data, it is not directly used to monitor hardware or software status, though the conventions it defines underpin how dependent Luminous MIBs report device state, alarms, and performance metrics. It is a foundational dependency for the full Luminous MIB suite, loaded before the functional modules that reference its types, and anyone tracking down the LUMINOUS-TC-MIB MIB file will typically find it distributed alongside those functional system, alarm, and performance modules rather than as a standalone package. It is deployed as a prerequisite MIB on Luminous Networks broadband access equipment managed via SNMP.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in LUMINOUS-TC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Luminous Networks broadband access equipment (vendor family, not a specific model)
Monitoring Examples
This is a textual-conventions-only module with no sample runtime objects provided, so there is no direct monitoring scenario; its type definitions are instead consumed by other Luminous Networks MIBs' status and alarm tables.
