Description: Maipu Data Communication SNMP SMI registration MIB defining the enterprise OID tree for Maipu routers and switches.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is MAIPU-SMI?
MAIPU-SMI is the Maipu Data Communication, Inc. Structure of Management Information module (enterprise OID 5651) defining the base enterprise OID root for Maipu's routers and switches. It carries no data objects of its own — as a structural registration MIB it exists so companion Maipu MIBs can register consistent OIDs under the shared enterprise branch. It underlies the Maipu Data Communication router/switch product family. Engineers can download the MAIPU-SMI file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in MAIPU-SMI. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Maipu Data Communication routers/switches
Monitoring Examples
A MIB browser loads MAIPU-SMI automatically when parsing another Maipu MIB module, resolving the OID branch those modules' objects are registered under.
