What Is LUM-TC?
LUM-TC is a vendor-specific textual-convention module (a stub module, per its own description) intended to define shared data types and enumerations for use across Infinera's (formerly Transmode's) Lum enterprise MIB suite. As a stub TC module it carries no scalar or tabular runtime objects and, by its own module description, appears to be a placeholder rather than a fully populated convention set. It therefore has no direct role in reporting hardware or software status such as uptime or temperature; any such data would be exposed by other Infinera/Transmode MIBs that import these conventions. It is a dependency for other Lum-branch MIB modules that need consistent, shared type definitions registered under the LUM-TC OID arc. It is used exclusively in the context of Infinera (formerly Transmode) optical networking equipment implementing SNMP management.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in LUM-TC. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Infinera (formerly Transmode) optical networking equipment (any generation, shared textual conventions stub)
Monitoring Examples
This module is a stub textual-convention module with no runtime data objects, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe; it exists to be imported by other Infinera/Transmode Lum-branch MIBs for shared type definitions.
