Organization: Liebert Corporation

Last Updated: 2015--0-2-

Category: Domain: Power/UPS, Textual Conventions and Registries, Vendor: Liebert

Description: Contains OID registration and SMI structure definitions for the Liebert GlobalProducts SNMP MIB family.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is LIEBERT-GP-REGISTRATION-MIB?

LIEBERT-GP-REGISTRATION-MIB is a registry-only MIB establishing the SMI/enterprise OID namespace for Liebert's (now Vertiv) GlobalProducts family of SNMP-managed data center power and cooling equipment. It contains no runtime data objects itself, only the OID tree under which Liebert's actual monitoring MIBs (covering UPS, PDU, and CRAC/cooling units) register their object groups. Because it is purely a namespace/registration module, it does not expose hardware or software status directly; the actual temperature, power, and alarm data live in the sibling Liebert (Vertiv) product MIBs that import this registration. Its only dependency role is providing the root OID arc that other Liebert/Vertiv MIB modules build upon. It is deployed wherever Liebert/Vertiv SNMP management cards are used, as a structural prerequisite loaded before the functional Liebert MIBs. Tools that process the LIEBERT-GP-REGISTRATION-MIB MIB file typically do so only to resolve this enterprise OID arc before loading the functional Liebert/Vertiv UPS, PDU, and CRAC MIBs.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in LIEBERT-GP-REGISTRATION-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Vertiv/Liebert GlobalProducts SNMP-managed equipment (UPS, PDU, CRAC/cooling, any generation)

Monitoring Examples

This module has no runtime data objects of its own — it only defines OID registration points — so there is no monitoring scenario to describe; polling for actual UPS/CRAC status requires the separate functional Liebert (Vertiv) MIB modules that register under this arc.
