What Is LIGOWAVE-MIB?

LIGOWAVE-MIB is the root Structure-of-Management-Information module for LigoWave, a manufacturer of outdoor wireless broadband and point-to-point/point-to-multipoint radio equipment, defining the top-level enterprise OID branches under which LigoWave's actual product MIBs are registered. As a pure registration module it contains no runtime data objects of its own, so it does not directly expose interface, environment, or performance counters. Consequently, real monitoring of LigoWave radio hardware/software status - signal strength, throughput, uptime, firmware version - takes place in the product-specific MIBs registered beneath its subtrees, not in this module. It is a prerequisite dependency for every other LigoWave-branded MIB, since they all root their OIDs under branches this module defines, and the LIGOWAVE-MIB OID tree effectively forms the addressing backbone for LigoWave's entire SNMP MIB suite. It is deployed as the base SMI module wherever LigoWave wireless radio/bridge equipment is managed via SNMP, typically in WISP (wireless ISP) and outdoor point-to-point link deployments.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in LIGOWAVE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • LigoWave wireless radio/bridge equipment (any generation, root SMI registration)

Monitoring Examples

The sample objects (ligoProducts, ligoAdmin, ligoMgmt, ligoExperimental) are OID subtree registration nodes rather than data objects, so no monitoring scenario can be described from this module alone; actual radio link status and configuration objects would be defined in a LigoWave product MIB registered beneath these branches.
