rptrGroupChange

Module: LBMSH-MIB

OID (symbolic): LBMSH-MIB::rptrGroupChange

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.22.0.2

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: This trap is sent when a change occurs in the group structure of a repeater. This occurs only when a group is logically removed from or added to a repeater. The varBind list contains the identifier of the group that was removed or added. The agent must throttle the generation of consecutive rptrGroupChange traps for the same group so that there is at least a five-second gap between them.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' LBMSH-MIB::rptrGroupChange
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.2.1.22.0.2

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (369778824) 42 days, 19:09:48.24
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: LBMSH-MIB::rptrGroupChange
