Description: Juniper Networks conformance statements for Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) management on Juniper E-series edge routers.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Juniper-VRRP-CONF?

Juniper-VRRP-CONF is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module documenting Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) management support in the SNMP agent on Juniper E-series edge routers. It declares supported object groups and variations of the underlying VRRP MIB, rather than defining new managed data. It carries no direct hardware or software runtime status by itself; VRRP state such as master/backup role and virtual router health resides in the VRRP MIB it constrains. It depends on the standard IETF VRRP-MIB (or Juniper equivalent) whose implementation it documents. It is used during management platform integration for Juniper E-series routers deployed in redundant gateway configurations, serving as a Juniper-VRRP-CONF reference for integrators confirming agent conformance before rollout.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Juniper-VRRP-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Juniper Networks E-series broadband routers

Monitoring Examples

This module defines no runtime objects itself; it only enumerates which VRRP MIB groups (such as virtual router state and priority tables) are supported by the E-series agent. A management system would reference it to determine which VRRP objects are safely pollable before monitoring actual master/backup transitions in the underlying VRRP MIB. No standalone monitoring scenario applies to this conformance module.
