Description: Juniper Networks conformance statements for the subscriber profile management framework on Juniper E-series routers.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Juniper-Profile-CONF?

This MIB provides the SNMP agent capabilities definitions for the Profile Manager component within the Juniper Networks E-series SNMP agent. Profile Manager is part of Juniper's subscriber management framework for broadband edge routing, and this conformance module describes which profile-related MIB groups and object compliances the agent actually supports. It is used to determine reliability of monitoring subscriber and service profile configuration state -- for example whether profile assignment, activation status, and profile parameter objects can be polled -- rather than exposing the data itself. It is a companion/dependency of the underlying Juniper Profile Manager data MIB and the broader subscriber management MIB suite. Typical deployment is in carrier broadband access networks using Juniper E-series routers for subscriber-aware services. Engineers can download the Juniper-Profile-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Juniper-Profile-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Juniper Networks E-series broadband edge routers

Monitoring Examples

An operations team validating SNMP support on a new E-series software load would check Juniper-Profile-CONF's AGENT-CAPABILITIES to see if Profile Manager object groups are fully implemented before relying on profile status polling for subscriber troubleshooting. Because it only contains conformance statements, it is read alongside the underlying profile data tables to interpret which profile-related OIDs will actually respond. Gaps in declared compliance would explain unexpected no-such-object errors when polling profile assignment status.

What Can Be Monitored
