Organization: Juniper Networks, Inc.

Category: Protocol: DHCP, Vendor: Juniper

Description: Defines conformance statements for DHCP server and relay management on Juniper Networks E-series platforms.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Juniper-DHCP-CONF?

Juniper-DHCP-CONF is a Juniper Networks AGENT-CAPABILITIES/conformance module describing which parts of the DHCP-related SNMP MIBs are implemented by the SNMP agent on Juniper's E-series broadband services routers. It belongs to Juniper's broadband access/subscriber management product area, where DHCP server and relay functions run as independent subcomponents of the platform's software. As a conformance module it carries no runtime scalars, tables, or notification objects itself, so it has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status; it exists purely to state agent support levels for management stations compiling or negotiating against the DHCP MIBs. It is explicitly a dependency/companion to Juniper's functional DHCP MIB module(s), which are where actual DHCP lease, binding, and relay statistics would be exposed. It is used during MIB compilation and capability verification for Juniper E-series routers providing DHCP services to broadband subscribers. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the Juniper-DHCP-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Juniper-DHCP-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

  • Juniper Networks E-series broadband services routers

Monitoring Examples

This is a conformance/AGENT-CAPABILITIES module with no runtime data objects, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe honestly; it only declares which DHCP server/relay MIB groups and objects the Juniper E-series agent implementation supports.
