Category: Vendor: Juniper
Description: Defines conformance statements for Class-Based Forwarding (CBF) management on Juniper Networks E-series routers.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Juniper-CBF-CONF?
Juniper-CBF-CONF is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES/conformance MIB module describing the SNMP agent's support for Class-Based Forwarding (CBF) management on Juniper Networks' E-series family of routers (originally from the Unisphere ERX lineage that Juniper acquired). Rather than defining pollable data objects, it declares which object groups and compliance levels of the corresponding CBF MIB the E-series agent implements. As a pure conformance statement it carries no hardware or software runtime status itself, no counters, no health indicators, but instead documents feature-support boundaries so a management application can determine what CBF monitoring/configuration is available. It is inherently dependent on the corresponding Juniper CBF MIB (and, by extension, general SNMP AGENT-CAPABILITIES/conformance conventions) that it declares support for. It is typically consulted by NMS tooling during capability discovery rather than polled directly by operators. Engineers can download the Juniper-CBF-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Juniper-CBF-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES/conformance module with no runtime data objects; it declares which CBF-related object groups and compliance statements the Juniper E-series agent supports rather than exposing pollable forwarding statistics, so there is no realistic monitoring scenario to describe.
