Description: Juniper Networks MIB providing SNMP set operation capabilities and write access management for Juniper routing platforms.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is JUNIPER-SNMP-SET-MIB?
JUNIPER-SNMP-SET-MIB is a small Juniper Networks proprietary MIB reporting the outcome of SNMP SET operations that trigger a configuration commit on Juniper devices. Its objects report the commit-set failure reason and a general SNMP-set-failure indicator. As a status/diagnostic MIB it lets an administrator determine why an SNMP-driven configuration change failed to commit. It is deployed on Juniper Networks routing/switching platforms supporting SNMP-based configuration changes. Engineers can download the JUNIPER-SNMP-SET-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in JUNIPER-SNMP-SET-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Juniper Networks routing/switching platforms (SNMP SET/commit)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks jnxCommitSetFailureReason after an SNMP SET operation unexpectedly fails to commit a configuration change on a Juniper device.
What Can Be Monitored
- SNMP SET/commit failure reason
