What Is IRM-OIDS?

IRM-OIDS is a Structure of Management Information (SMI) module that defines the object identifier tree for an Integrated Resource Manager (IRM) network management framework, covering device classes such as communications devices, repeaters, bridges, and routers. Rather than exposing runtime data itself, it establishes the OID namespace under which layer-management and common-device MIBs for these device categories are registered. Because it is purely a registration module, it does not directly expose hardware or software status counters, but it underpins the identification of devices and layers that other IRM MIBs use to report status, faults, and performance.
