What Is CISCO-RTTMON-TC-MIB?
CISCO-RTTMON-TC-MIB is a textual-conventions module defining the shared data types used by CISCO-RTTMON-MIB, CISCO-RTTMON-RTP-MIB, and CISCO-RTTMON-ICMP-MIB (and potentially other Cisco MIBs) for representing IP SLA / RTT monitoring concepts such as probe types, response codes, and MPLS/VPN-related fields referenced in RTT operations. As a textual-conventions-only module, it defines no managed objects or tables and carries no runtime monitoring data of its own. Its purpose is to standardize how round-trip-time, jitter, and related IP SLA measurements are typed consistently across the Cisco RTTMON family of MIBs, indirectly supporting the software-level performance monitoring those MIBs provide. It is an explicit dependency of CISCO-RTTMON-MIB and related RTP/ICMP RTTMON modules, which import its type definitions rather than duplicating them. It is used wherever Cisco IP SLA / RTT Monitor functionality is deployed, as a supporting module rather than a directly polled one. A CISCO-RTTMON-TC-MIB reference is typically needed only when developing or debugging SNMP tooling that must correctly decode the enumerated probe types and response codes shared across the RTTMON MIB family.
