What Is CISCO-TRUSTSEC-TC-MIB?

CISCO-TRUSTSEC-TC-MIB is a Cisco-proprietary textual-conventions module that defines shared data types - such as Security Group Tag values and TrustSec policy/state enumerations - used across the family of Cisco TrustSec MIBs, which manage Cisco's identity-based network segmentation and policy-enforcement framework. As a TC-only module it defines no runtime objects itself, so it exposes no interface, environment, or performance data directly; the actual TrustSec policy/session data lives in the CISCO-TRUSTSEC-* data MIBs that import these types. Because of this it has no direct role in reporting hardware or software status; its purpose is purely to ensure consistent representation of TrustSec values across those data-bearing modules. It is a dependency for essentially every other Cisco TrustSec MIB module, and network engineers who search for a CISCO-TRUSTSEC-TC-MIB download are typically retrieving it solely to satisfy that import requirement rather than to poll any data of its own. It is used in Cisco enterprise/campus networks that have deployed TrustSec-based network access control and micro-segmentation.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-TRUSTSEC-TC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco Catalyst C9350 Series Smart Switches (2025) — current TrustSec/SGT-capable enterprise switch with active documentation updates

Monitoring Examples

This is a textual-conventions-only module with no runtime data objects, so no concrete monitoring scenario applies here; Cisco's TrustSec data MIBs import these type definitions to represent security-group tags and policy state consistently.
