Description:
The total number of input datagrams received from interfaces, including those received in error.
This object has been deprecated, as a new IP version-neutral
table has been added. It is loosely replaced by ipSystemStatsInRecieves.
What is ipInReceives?
This OID counts the total number of IP packets received on the device, including corrupted ones. It provides overall traffic ingress statistics. A network operator would monitor this to detect sudden traffic surges or drops that indicate network problems or attacks.
