Category: Domain: Server Hardware, Hardware and Environment, Vendor: Intel

Description: Intel Corporation server health MIB providing SNMP objects for aggregated hardware health status across Intel server platforms.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is INTELCORPORATIONSERVERHEALTH-MIB?

INTELCORPORATIONSERVERHEALTH-MIB is Intel's server health aggregation MIB, part of the same DMI/LANDesk Componentid MIB family as the Baseboard and BaseboardResources MIBs. It exposes a server-health-contribution table listing individual hardware components and their contribution to an overall server health status. It is used explicitly for hardware fault detection: each entry in the contribution table represents a subsystem (implied to include things like power, fans, or temperature sensors) whose degraded status feeds into the aggregate health picture, letting an administrator spot a specific failing component even before overall health goes critical. It depends on the shared Componentid identity conventions used across the Intel server-management MIB family and likely correlates with underlying IPMI/DMI sensor data. It is deployed on Intel-based servers running the Intel/LANDesk Server Manager agent, giving NMS platforms a single rollup view of hardware health via INTELCORPORATIONSERVERHEALTH-MIB SNMP monitoring.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in INTELCORPORATIONSERVERHEALTH-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Intel-based servers

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll tServerHealthContributionTable/eServerHealthContributionTable, iterating a2ContributionTableIndex, to see each a2Component and its individual contribution to overall server health. A degraded or critical value on one contribution-table entry would identify a specific failing hardware subsystem even while the server's overall status is still nominal. Cross-referencing a1Product/a1SerialNumber from the shared componentid fields identifies exactly which server is affected.

What Can Be Monitored

  • overall server health contribution per component
  • list of components affecting server health
  • baseboard identity
