Description: Intel ISDN interface MIB providing SNMP objects for BRI/PRI ISDN line configuration and call statistics.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is INTEL-ISDN-MIB?

INTEL-ISDN-MIB is an Intel proprietary MIB (extending INTEL-GEN-MIB) reporting ISDN signaling-channel and D-channel status/error statistics. Its signaling-channel table records Layer 2 state, CES (Connection Endpoint Suffix), SAPI, call-collision count, and address-check-failure count, while a D-channel table reports receive short/long/CRC-error/residual/abort/overrun/lost-sync/buffer-lack/application-not-ready/unknown-protocol counts and transmit discarded-protocol/discarded-data/underrun/collision counts. As a performance/protocol-status MIB it lets an administrator diagnose ISDN D-channel Layer 2 instability via detailed error-frame counters. It is deployed on Intel ISDN adapter/access equipment. Engineers can download the INTEL-ISDN-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in INTEL-ISDN-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Intel ISDN adapter/access equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks isdnDchanRxCRCerror and isdnDchanRxLostSync to diagnose a flapping ISDN D-channel on Intel ISDN adapter equipment.

What Can Be Monitored

  • ISDN D-channel Layer 2 error counters
