Category: DSL and Broadband, Vendor: Huawei
Description: Huawei MUSA MIB for SHDSL customer premises equipment (CPE) management including line status and performance counters.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HWMUSA-SHDSL-CPE-MIB?
HWMUSA-SHDSL-CPE-MIB is a Huawei Technologies (North America) proprietary MIB reporting inventory and configuration for SHDSL CPE devices. Its objects cover a common-inventory table (model, software/hardware version, device name), a common-config table (date, time), a common-action table (database-save, warm-start actions), an SNMP-config table (IP address/subnet mask/gateway, two trap-destination IP/port pairs), and an SDSL-specific configuration table. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm firmware/hardware version and SNMP trap-destination configuration on a Huawei SHDSL CPE. It is deployed on Huawei Technologies SHDSL CPE devices. Engineers can download the HWMUSA-SHDSL-CPE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HWMUSA-SHDSL-CPE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Huawei Technologies SHDSL CPE devices
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks umCommonInventorySwVer and umCommonSnmpConfigTrapIpAddress1 to confirm firmware version and trap destination on a Huawei SHDSL CPE.
What Can Be Monitored
- device inventory and SNMP trap-destination configuration
