What Is HM2-INDUSTRIAL-PROTOCOLS-MIB?

HM2-INDUSTRIAL-PROTOCOLS-MIB is a Hirschmann HiOS module for industrial Ethernet switches, managing industrial protocol servers such as IEC 61850 MMS (including its TLS-secured variant) alongside other industrial Ethernet protocol support. It exposes configuration data (server admin status, port number, session limits) and security/status data (TLS key presence and operational status, key control), plus fault notifications. This module is directly relevant to monitoring the software service status of the switch's industrial protocol stack: whether the MMS server is enabled and reachable (admin/write-access status), how many client sessions are active against its configured maximum, and whether the TLS key/certificate used to secure MMS sessions is present and operational. It implements the IEC 61850 MMS protocol standard as part of Hirschmann's broader HiOS device management framework. It is deployed on Hirschmann industrial Ethernet switches used in substation automation and industrial control system (ICS) networks. Engineers can download the HM2-INDUSTRIAL-PROTOCOLS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
