Description: HH3C MIB for active voice call monitoring tracking ongoing call sessions on H3C voice-enabled routers.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HH3C-VOICE-CALL-ACTIVE-MIB?
HH3C-VOICE-CALL-ACTIVE-MIB provides real-time visibility into currently active voice calls on H3C voice-enabled routers and gateways, covering both traditional telephony and VoIP call legs. It exposes active call tables with connection identifiers, call duration split by voice/fax/total transmit time, codec (coder type) in use, and fax page counts for the general call table, plus a parallel VoIP-specific active call table. Its core monitoring purpose is software/service status of the voice subsystem: tracking active call counts, durations, and codec selection reveals whether calls are being set up and torn down normally, whether fax relay is functioning, and whether an unusually long-duration or stuck call entry indicates a signaling or media-path fault. It typically works alongside other H3C voice MIBs (e.g., call history/statistics MIBs) and standard telephony signaling protocols underlying the call legs. It is deployed on H3C voice gateways and multiservice routers handling PSTN, VoIP, or T.38 fax-over-IP traffic in enterprise or carrier voice networks. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the HH3C-VOICE-CALL-ACTIVE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-VOICE-CALL-ACTIVE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- H3C voice gateway/router
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll hh3cVoiceCallActiveTable for hh3cVoCallActiveConnectionId, hh3cVoCallActiveTxDuration, and hh3cVoCallActiveCoderType to see live call count, duration, and codec mix on the gateway. A hh3cVoCallActiveFaxTxDuration or hh3cVoCallActiveImgPageCount entry that stalls mid-transmission would indicate a failed fax relay session, while checking hh3cVoiceVoIPCallActiveTable's hh3cVoVoIPCallActiveConnectionId lets an operator separately confirm the VoIP call legs are active and progressing normally.
What Can Be Monitored
- active call count
- call duration (voice/fax/total)
- codec type in use
- fax page count
- active VoIP call legs
