Category: Device Management, Vendor: H3C/HH3C

Description: HH3C MIB providing object information and metadata for managed objects on H3C devices.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HH3C-OBJECT-INFO-MIB?

HH3C-OBJECT-INFO-MIB is an H3C (Huawei-3Com) enterprise MIB that provides generic object/capability information about the managed agent, rather than operational telemetry. It exposes a small set of objects an NMS can query to determine, before attempting a configuration change, whether the device's SNMP agent actually supports a particular managed object or feature. Its value is therefore in configuration-safety/capability discovery rather than in monitoring hardware or software status such as uptime, temperature, or CPU load. It sits alongside the large family of other HH3C-prefixed enterprise MIBs on H3C devices, acting as a helper module the NMS consults before touching those other MIBs. It is typically used internally by H3C-aware network management software rather than polled directly by administrators for health monitoring. Engineers can download the HH3C-OBJECT-INFO-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-OBJECT-INFO-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C (Huawei-3Com) routers and switches

Monitoring Examples

hh3cObjectInformation is the module's primary object, used by a management application to check whether the agent recognizes and supports a given managed object before issuing a configuration request against it. This is a capability-discovery mechanism rather than a runtime health indicator, so there is no meaningful ongoing 'anomaly' to detect from polling it repeatedly. Its practical use is a one-time or occasional support check ahead of a configuration operation, not continuous monitoring.
