Category: MPLS and Traffic Engineering, Protocol: BGP, Vendor: H3C/HH3C

Description: Manages MPLS BGP VPN routing instances, route distinguishers, and import/export policies on H3C PE routers.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HH3C-MPLS-VPN-BGP-MIB?

HH3C-MPLS-VPN-BGP-MIB is a New H3C Technologies proprietary MIB (based on the IETF MPLS/BGP VPN architecture draft) configuring per-VRF BGP/MPLS Layer-3 VPN parameters. Its VRF-configuration table, keyed by name, records route distinguisher, network-prefix type/prefix, connected/static/RIP redistribution flags, high-route threshold, warn-only flag, max routes, and row status, while a BGP-neighbor-address table records neighbor address, role, AS number, admin status, row status, and state, alongside a neighbor-prefix table. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm a VRF's route-target/redistribution policy and BGP neighbor session state on an H3C PE router. It is deployed on New H3C Technologies MPLS/BGP VPN PE routers. Engineers can download the HH3C-MPLS-VPN-BGP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-MPLS-VPN-BGP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • New H3C Technologies MPLS/BGP VPN PE routers

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks hh3cMplsVpnVrfBgpNbrState and hh3cMplsVpnVrfConfMaxRts to confirm BGP VPN neighbor session state and route-count capacity on an H3C PE router.

What Can Be Monitored
