Category: Domain: Storage, Fibre Channel and Storage, Vendor: H3C/HH3C
Description: Manages Fibre Channel Fabric Login (FLOGI) sessions on H3C FC switch ports and fabric services.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HH3C-FC-FLOGIN-MIB?
HH3C-FC-FLOGIN-MIB tracks Fibre Channel Fabric Login (FLOGI) sessions on H3C FC/FCoE switch ports, recording which devices have logged into the fabric and their negotiated parameters. It exposes a fabric-login table keyed by port, listing node/port World Wide Names, assigned FC IDs, buffer-to-buffer credit values, and supported class-of-service/MTU parameters. Its monitoring value is largely status/connectivity-oriented: confirming which hosts/storage devices are actively logged into the fabric on a given port, and surfacing negotiated buffer credits and MTU that affect FC link performance, useful for diagnosing storage connectivity or login failures. It relies on Fibre Channel standards (FC-FS, FC-GS) for the underlying login model. It is deployed on H3C FC or FCoE switches in SAN environments to verify host bus adapters and storage targets are properly logged into the fabric. Engineers can download the HH3C-FC-FLOGIN-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-FC-FLOGIN-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- H3C Fibre Channel/FCoE switches
Monitoring Examples
hh3cFcFLoginTable/hh3cFcFLoginEntry, indexed by hh3cFcFLoginIndex, expose hh3cFcFLoginPortWWN, hh3cFcFLoginPortNodeWWN, and hh3cFcFLoginPortFcId for each logged-in device, letting a SAN admin confirm a given HBA is logged in and check its assigned FC ID. hh3cFcFLoginRxBbCredit/hh3cFcFLoginTxBbCredit reveal negotiated buffer-to-buffer credit, useful for diagnosing throughput problems, while hh3cFcFLoginClass2RxMTU/hh3cFcFLoginClass3RxMTU show the negotiated frame size.
What Can Be Monitored
- logged-in device WWNs
- assigned FC ID per port
- buffer-to-buffer credit (Rx/Tx)
- negotiated class-of-service MTU
