What Is HH3C-FC-TC-MIB?

HH3C-FC-TC-MIB is a textual-conventions-only module from H3C (Hangzhou Huawei-3Com/New H3C) that defines shared Fibre Channel data types and enumerations reused across other H3C Fibre Channel management MIBs. It belongs to the storage-networking/SAN management area for H3C switches and directors, but as a TC module it contains no OBJECT-TYPE instances, tables, or traps of its own. Consequently it cannot be used directly to monitor hardware or software status -- there is no uptime, temperature, CPU, or interface data here; its only function is to standardize how FC concepts (port types, states, speeds) are represented elsewhere. Other H3C Fibre Channel MIBs (e.g., FC port, zone, or fabric MIBs) depend on the types defined here for consistent encoding. It is deployed only as an import dependency in H3C SAN switch MIB packages, not polled independently, and administrators typically consult the HH3C-FC-TC-MIB reference only when tracing type definitions used by other H3C Fibre Channel modules.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-FC-TC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • vendor-neutral within H3C's line, standards-based Fibre Channel type definitions, applies to H3C SAN switches/directors

Monitoring Examples

This is a textual-conventions module containing only TEXTUAL-CONVENTION type definitions for Fibre Channel concepts (such as port types or states), not runtime OBJECT-TYPE instances, so there are no tables or counters to poll directly. Any monitoring scenario would actually occur in the H3C FC MIBs that import these types.
