Description: H7530-MIB module

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is H7530-MIB?

H7530-MIB corresponds to the COMET System H7530, a standalone environmental data-logger/web sensor unit (the comet object name reflects the manufacturer) that measures ambient conditions and provides relay/digital I/O, commonly used for server-room or facility environmental monitoring. It exposes core environmental sensor readings — temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure — along with a computed/derived value, two relay outputs, and three digital inputs. Its purpose is squarely hardware environmental status monitoring: an operator polls temperature and humidity against configured tempLow/tempHigh and humidityLow thresholds to detect an overheating or overly humid server room, and monitors relay1/relay2 and input1–input3 to track connected alarm contacts or auxiliary sensors. As a small standalone appliance MIB it has no apparent dependency on other MIBs beyond the standard SNMP framework. It is deployed in server rooms, telecom closets, or industrial cabinets where independent environmental monitoring separate from the main network equipment is required, and administrators can download the H7530-MIB file to load into their MIB browser for reference.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in H7530-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • COMET System H7530 environmental data logger/sensor unit

Monitoring Examples

An admin would poll temperature and humidity continuously and compare against tempLow/tempHigh thresholds to trigger an alert if the server room overheats, while relay1 and relay2 status reveal whether an alarm output (e.g. tied to a siren or door lock) has activated. input1 through input3 expose auxiliary digital sensor states (e.g. door-open contacts), and pressure/computedValue provide additional environmental context such as barometric readings or a derived comfort index.

What Can Be Monitored

  • ambient temperature
  • relative humidity
  • barometric pressure
  • relay/alarm output status
  • digital input states
  • temperature/humidity thresholds

How to Use in IPNetwork Monitor

Example using relay1 OID:

Select a Comet System H7530 environmental data logger/sensor unit as the target host to create a monitor — the SNMP service should be up and running on it. Click New Monitor, then check SNMP Custom on the Favorites tab, click Next, and confirm the host. On the next page, click Select... to open the built-in SNMP MIB Browser and type relay1 into the Find box to locate it in the OID tree, then select it and click OK. It reports the relay 1 status. On the monitor's Main parameters page you can set the target's SNMP port (default 161), credentials, polling interval, and other settings — see the SNMP Monitor help for details. On the State conditions and Alerting tabs, configure when the monitor should change state and trigger an alert; since this is an INTEGER-type OID, Value bounds is the most useful condition here — trigger an alert if the value drifts significantly from its normal baseline, since an unexpected change often points to a real underlying issue. Click Finish to create the monitor; you can adjust any parameter later.
