Description: H3C MIB for 802.11 Radio Resource Management (RRM) automating channel and power assignment for wireless APs.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is H3C-DOT11-RRM-MIB?

H3C-DOT11-RRM-MIB provides 802.11 Radio Resource Management configuration for H3C wireless LAN controllers/access points, automating channel selection and transmit power assignment across a WLAN deployment. It exposes per-radio RRM configuration such as maximum supported/admitted 802.11n MCS rates, 802.11g protection mode, 802.11a power constraint and spectrum management (802.11h auto-channel-avoidance), scan channel list, and scan report interval, along with interference thresholds for APs and stations. Its monitoring relevance is RF/software-configuration health: administrators check h3cDot11RRMRadioCfgTable to confirm each radio's channel/power settings and scan behavior are correctly applied, and watch AP/station interference-number thresholds to detect RF interference building up in the environment before it degrades client performance. It builds on H3C's base 802.11 MIB for AP/radio identification and interacts with the underlying wireless AP management framework. It is deployed on H3C wireless LAN controllers managing fleets of access points in enterprise or campus Wi-Fi networks. Engineers can download the H3C-DOT11-RRM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in H3C-DOT11-RRM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C wireless LAN controller
  • H3C 802.11 access point

Monitoring Examples

An operator would poll h3cDot11RRMRadioCfgTable/h3cDot11RRMRadioCfgEntry for h3cDot11RRM11nMadtMaxMcs and h3cDot11RRM11gProtect to confirm a radio's negotiated data-rate ceiling and legacy-protection mode match policy, and check h3cDot11APInterfNumThreshhd/h3cDot11StaInterfNumThreshhd against current interference counts to catch an AP or client experiencing excessive co-channel interference. Reviewing h3cDot11RRMScanChl and h3cDot11RRMScanRptIntvel confirms RRM background scanning is covering the intended channel set at the expected cadence, needed for auto channel/power adjustments (h3cDot11RRMAutoChlAvoid11h) to react promptly to radar or interference events.

What Can Be Monitored

  • radio channel/power configuration
  • 802.11n/g/a rate and protection settings
  • RRM background scan channel/interval
  • AP and station interference thresholds
