Description: H3C MIB for 802.11 wireless spectrum analysis managing RF interference detection and channel utilization data.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is H3C-DOT11-SA-MIB?

H3C-DOT11-SA-MIB is an H3C vendor MIB providing 802.11 wireless spectrum analysis for H3C access points and wireless controllers, letting the RF spectrum-analysis capability built into APs examine the radio environment, identify interference, and classify its source. It exposes per-radio configuration (enable/disable, radio type), trap configuration for device type and air-quality thresholds, driven RRM (radio resource management) settings, and a real-time FFT data table capturing spectrum measurements. Its monitoring value is squarely RF-environment and interference detection: administrators use it to watch air-quality thresholds and receive traps when interference or an unwanted RF device is detected, and can pull raw FFT spectrum data to diagnose channel quality or congestion issues affecting client connectivity. It integrates with H3C's wireless RRM framework, since spectrum findings can drive automatic channel/radio adjustments via h3cDot11SaDrivenRRMEnable. It is typically deployed on H3C enterprise wireless access points/controllers in environments where Wi-Fi interference from other APs or non-Wi-Fi RF sources is a concern. Engineers can download the H3C-DOT11-SA-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in H3C-DOT11-SA-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C enterprise wireless access point/controller

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll h3cDot11SaCfgTable / h3cDot11SaCfgEntry to confirm h3cDot11SaEnable and h3cDot11SaCfgRadioType per radio, and check h3cDot11SaTrapAQThreshold against reported air quality to see if h3cDot11SaTrapAQEnable would fire a degraded-air-quality trap. h3cDot11SaRtFFTDataTable exposes raw real-time spectrum (FFT) measurements useful for pinpointing the frequency of an interference source during a client complaint about poor Wi-Fi performance. h3cDot11SaDrivenRRMEnable and h3cDot11SaDrivenRRMSnt show whether spectrum findings are being used to automatically retune the radio's channel.

What Can Be Monitored

  • radio spectrum-analysis enable/status per radio
  • air quality threshold and trap status
  • real-time FFT spectrum data
  • RRM-driven channel adjustment status
  • device/interference classification
