Description: MICROSENS G6 switch MIB for web-based management interface configuration and HTTPS settings.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is G6-WEB-MIB?

G6-WEB-MIB is a MICROSENS private MIB for the Generation 6 (G6) family of managed Ethernet switches, covering configuration of the device's embedded web management interface. It exposes configuration-type data such as HTTP/HTTPS protocol selection, port numbers, session timeout, certificate source, and login banner text, plus a table of GUI pages with display mode and color scheme settings. Rather than hardware health, its monitoring value lies in verifying the software/management-plane configuration status of the switch -- confirming whether HTTPS is enforced, which ports the web UI listens on, and whether the correct TLS certificate source is active, which matters for security auditing. It is a vendor-specific module standing on its own, not layered on IETF web-management standards. It is typically deployed alongside other MICROSENS G6 private MIBs when managing MICROSENS switches in enterprise or industrial LAN deployments via SNMP-based configuration tools, typically starting with a G6-WEB-MIB download to load the module into those tools.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in G6-WEB-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • MICROSENS G6 managed Ethernet switch

Monitoring Examples

An administrator could poll webProtocol, webHttpPortWeb, and webHttpsPortWeb together to confirm the switch's web GUI is running HTTPS-only on the expected port and flag any switch still exposing plain HTTP. The guiPageTable/guiPageEntry rows (indexed by guiPageIndex) reveal per-page GUI mode and color scheme settings, useful for auditing consistent UI configuration across a fleet of switches. webWebTimeout and webCertificateSource would be checked to verify session security policy compliance.

What Can Be Monitored

  • web management protocol (HTTP/HTTPS)
  • web/HTTPS port numbers
  • session timeout
  • certificate source
  • login banner message
  • GUI page configuration
