Description: Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch time range MIB for defining named time periods used in ACL and policy scheduling rules.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is EdgeSwitch-TIMERANGE-MIB?
EdgeSwitch-TIMERANGE-MIB is a Ubiquiti private MIB for the EdgeSwitch line that defines named time-range objects used to schedule when ACLs (Access Control Lists) and other policy rules are active, allowing time-of-day/day-of-week-based enforcement of network policies. It exposes a fastPathTimeRangeGroup conformance grouping tied to configuration objects for defining and naming time ranges (e.g., start/end times, applicable days) referenced by ACL rules elsewhere on the switch. This is primarily a configuration-status MIB rather than a fault or performance MIB: it lets an operator confirm which time-range definitions exist and are currently in effect, which indirectly affects whether time-scheduled ACL policies are correctly enforcing traffic restrictions at a given moment. It logically depends on the switch's ACL/policy MIB, since time ranges are referenced by ACL rule objects rather than standing alone. It is deployed on Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch devices implementing time-of-day-based access control policies.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in EdgeSwitch-TIMERANGE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch
Monitoring Examples
The only object confirmed from source is fastPathTimeRangeGroup, a conformance group covering the time-range configuration objects; specific per-range object names were not available in the sample. An operator would typically check whether a named time range is currently "active" per its configured schedule to confirm that a time-based ACL rule referencing it is being enforced as expected at the current time of day, and administrators can download the EdgeSwitch-TIMERANGE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser for reference.
What Can Be Monitored
- configured time-range definitions
- time range active/inactive schedule state
