Description: Extreme Networks IEEE 802.11f (IAPP) MIB for inter-access-point protocol management enabling roaming on Extreme wireless networks.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is EXTREMEdot11f-MIB?

EXTREMEdot11f-MIB is an Extreme Networks proprietary MIB (built on EXTREME-BASE-MIB) managing IAPP (Inter-Access Point Protocol, IEEE 802.11f) across a set of access points, functionally identical to the IEEE IAPP MIB but with an added index, and carrying no additional objects of its own in this file. As a structural extension MIB it exists to let Extreme's IAPP implementation share the standard 802.11f MIB's object model with an Extreme-specific index. It underlies Extreme Networks wireless access-point equipment (IAPP/802.11f). Engineers can download the EXTREMEdot11f-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in EXTREMEdot11f-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Extreme Networks wireless access-point equipment (IAPP/802.11f)

Monitoring Examples

A MIB browser loads EXTREMEdot11f-MIB automatically when parsing a companion Extreme wireless MIB, resolving the IAPP index extension used across Extreme access points.
