Description: EnGenius status MIB for monitoring operational status of EnGenius wireless devices including interface and service states.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ENGENIUS-STATUS-MIB?

ENGENIUS-STATUS-MIB is EnGenius's (originally Senao's) status MIB for monitoring the operational status of EnGenius wireless devices such as access points and wireless bridges, supplementing the standard IEEE 802.11 MIB with vendor-specific metrics. It exposes device and service operational-state data relevant to wireless networking hardware. In monitoring terms, it is used to check the software/service status of wireless interfaces and related services on the device, complementing standard 802.11 radio statistics with EnGenius-specific state information. It explicitly builds on and supplements the standard IEEE 802.11 MIB, functioning as a vendor extension rather than a replacement. It is deployed on EnGenius/Senao wireless access points and bridges in Wi-Fi network deployments. Engineers can download the ENGENIUS-STATUS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ENGENIUS-STATUS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • EnGenius (Senao) wireless access point or bridge

Monitoring Examples

The top-level engenius object anchors EnGenius/Senao's vendor-specific status extensions to the standard 802.11 MIB; an administrator managing an EnGenius AP would walk beneath this branch alongside standard dot11 objects to get vendor-specific operational status not covered by the IEEE standard. Given the limited sample data, exact leaf-level status objects are not enumerated here, but the module's purpose is to fill gaps in standard 802.11 status reporting for EnGenius hardware.
