Description: Flarion Technologies Flash-OFDM base station DSP performance MIB for monitoring digital signal processor metrics in mobile broadband.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is FLARION-DSP-PERF-MIB?
FLARION-DSP-PERF-MIB is Flarion Technologies' proprietary MIB, from its Flash-OFDM mobile broadband base station technology (later acquired by Qualcomm), for monitoring digital signal processor (DSP) performance metrics on the Radio Router base station. It exposes general categories of radio-performance data: per-sector downlink SNR measurements, active/connected user counts per sector, and overall user load statistics. This is a performance/radio-quality monitoring MIB rather than classic hardware-fault data — it lets an admin track the software/DSP-level radio performance status of a base station sector, such as degrading SNR or an overloaded user count, that could indicate a capacity or RF issue. It is a self-contained vendor-specific radio MIB with no apparent standard MIB dependency, tied to Flarion's proprietary Radio Router architecture. It is deployed on Flarion Flash-OFDM base stations (Radio Routers) in mobile broadband wireless access networks. Engineers can download the FLARION-DSP-PERF-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in FLARION-DSP-PERF-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Flarion Flash-OFDM base station (Radio Router)
Monitoring Examples
An admin would poll dlSnrTable/dlSnrEntry, keyed by dlSnrSector and dlSnrIndex, to track downlink SNR (dlSnrAsgPwc) per sector and spot a sector whose SNR has degraded, indicating RF interference or an antenna issue. Simultaneously polling sonUserTable (sonUserSector, sonUserNum) and activeUserTable reveals how many users are actively connected per sector, and a spike in userLoad combined with falling dlSnr values would indicate the sector is becoming capacity-constrained and users are experiencing degraded throughput.
What Can Be Monitored
- downlink SNR per sector
- active user count per sector
- total user load
- DSP performance per radio sector
