Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: The total number of packets received during the last sampling interval that were less than 64 octets in length (excluding framing bits but including FCS octets) had either a bad Frame Check Sequence (FCS) with an integral number of octets (FCS Error) or a bad FCS with a non-integral number of octets (Alignment Error).

What is extremeRtStatsFragments?

Counts packets received during the last sampling interval that were shorter than 64 octets and also had a bad FCS, either an FCS error or alignment error. Admins treat a rising fragment count as evidence of collisions or a failing transceiver on the segment, since fragments are typically the byproduct of a collision cutting a frame short. A segment showing high extremeRtStatsFragments alongside high extremeRtStatsCollisions points an admin toward a duplex mismatch or excessive collision domain contention.
