What Is ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-IF-CAP?
ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-IF-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module declaring how Ericsson's router platforms (the SmartEdge/SE, SM, and SSR product families running Ericsson SEOS) implement the standard IETF Interfaces MIB (RFC 2863) and the IF-INVERTED-STACK-MIB (RFC 2864). It does not define new managed objects; instead it documents which parts of the standard interface MIBs are supported, with what variations, on a given Ericsson SEOS release. As a pure conformance/capabilities module it has no runtime monitoring objects of its own and plays no direct role in reporting uptime, temperature, or load; its purpose is purely descriptive of standards compliance. It is entirely dependent on, and only meaningful in relation to, the IETF IF-MIB and IF-INVERTED-STACK-MIB it describes conformance against. It is relevant when managing Ericsson SmartEdge (SE), SM, or SSR router platforms to understand exactly which standard interface MIB features are implemented in a given SEOS release. Engineers can download the ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-IF-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module with no runtime data objects (sample_objects is empty), so there is no monitoring scenario to describe; it is used by NMS tooling to determine which IF-MIB and IF-INVERTED-STACK-MIB features are actually supported before attempting to poll or configure them on a given Ericsson SEOS release.
