What Is RBN-BIND-CAP?
RBN-BIND-CAP is an Ericsson Inc. (Redback Networks heritage) AGENT-CAPABILITIES MIB declaring SmartEdge/SM platform conformance to the Bind MIB, which associates services/circuits to physical interfaces. It carries no data objects of its own — as a conformance-declaration module it registers which groups of the Bind MIB a given Ericsson SEOS software release and product family (SmartEdge MSER or SM Metro Ethernet Services) implements. As a software-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm which Bind MIB capability groups apply to their specific Ericsson platform and SEOS release. It is deployed on Ericsson (Redback Networks) SmartEdge/SM platforms. Engineers can download the RBN-BIND-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RBN-BIND-CAP. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
