Description: Provides management objects for the DSR4410MD series digital satellite router configuration and monitoring.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is DSR4410MD-MIB?
DSR4410MD-MIB is an ARRIS Group vendor-specific MIB (registered under the legacy General Instrument giproducts branch) that models the DSR4410MD, a DigiCipher II / DVB-S/DVB-S2 Integrated Receiver-Decoder (IRD) used to receive and decode satellite video feeds -- despite the hint's description of it as a 'digital satellite router,' the MIB's actual object set is entirely about satellite tuning, decoding, and video/audio output, not IP routing. It exposes RF tuning and lock parameters under manualTune (transponderNumber, frequency, dvbSymbolRate/dvbCodeRate, dvbS2symbolRate/dvbS2codeRate, modulationMode), channel selection and status (vctID, channelNumber, transponder, source, satelliteStatus), alarm configuration (alarmTrigger covering no-signal, no-video, and no-authorization conditions), and audio/data output settings (audio1/2 gain and language objects, subtitleLanguage, ethernet/gigE port IP configuration). This gives an operator a complete view of whether a satellite receiver is locked to its intended transponder, authorized to decode its service, and outputting clean audio/video, which is critical for head-end and affiliate monitoring of broadcast feeds. It uses legacy RFC1155-SMI/SNMPv2-TC conventions and a MODULE-IDENTITY added only in a later revision. It is deployed at cable/broadcast head-ends and affiliate sites receiving satellite-delivered video, and administrators can download the DSR4410MD-MIB file to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in DSR4410MD-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ARRIS DSR4410MD satellite Integrated Receiver-Decoder (IRD)
Monitoring Examples
An operator polls channelStatus objects transponder and satelliteStatus to confirm the DSR4410MD is locked to the expected feed, and checks alarmTrigger alongside tvPasscard authorization state; a unit reporting an empty transponder/source string or an active no-signal/no-authorization alarm would indicate the receiver has lost lock or lacks entitlement to decode the selected satellite service.
What Can Be Monitored
- RF tuning parameters (transponder/frequency/symbol rate/code rate)
- channel and transponder lock/source status
- alarm trigger conditions (no-signal/no-video/no-authorization)
- service authorization (passcard) state
- audio gain, downmix, and language configuration
- Ethernet/GigE port IP configuration

When read, this leaf provides the actual enable/disable status of the retune monitoring function in the IRD, and not just the last value that was written to this leaf. The IRD resets retuneMsgStatistic and all entries in the retuneMsgTable each time it receives an enable message; toggling enable/disable/enable is not required for this reset. |
| retuneMonitorMIB | 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.621.13 | |||
| OCT retuneMsgActivationTime | 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.621.13.6 | OCTET STRING | read-only | The activation time of the most recent active retune message. The activation time is a 32-bit count of GPS seconds since January 6, 1980, representing the time at which the retune is scheduled to occur. Past activation times are interpreted as immediate activation. |
| INT retuneMsgCnt | 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.621.13.8 | INTEGER | read-only | The total number of instances that the IRD has received for the most recent active retune message. Range = 0 - 0xFFFF. Note: this counter is incremented when a retune message is received for which the CRC of that retune message matches the CRC of the current retune message (i.e., the value of retuneMsgCRC). |
| OCT retuneMsgCRC | 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.621.13.7 | OCTET STRING | read-only | The 4-byte CRC value of the most recent active retune message. |
| INT retuneMsgStatistic | 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.621.13.2 | INTEGER | read-only | The total number of new retune messages. This counter is incremented whenever the IRD detects a new retune message, but is not incremented by each instance (duplicate) of a retune message. This counter provides a useful troubleshooting tool for determining whether the IRD is detecting any retune messages. Range = 0x0000 - 0xFFFF. Note: This counter is not incremented for every possible retune message. This counter is only incremented when a retune becomes active. The IRD ignores retune messages in which the activation time is still in the future. The IRD also ignores any retune message if the activation time is further in the past than the current retune for the same virtual network. |
| INT retuneMsgVCTid | 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.621.13.4 | INTEGER | read-only | The target virtual channel map ID of the most recent active retune message. Range = 0 - 0xFFFF. |
| INT retuneMsgVirtChannel | 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.621.13.5 | INTEGER | read-only | The target virtual channel of the most recent active retune message. Range = 0 - 4095. |
| INT retuneMsgVirtNetworkIDindex | 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.1.621.13.3 | INTEGER | read-write | A table of retune messages is indexed by this target virtual network ID. This table does not have entries for each instance (duplicate) of a retune message that the IRD receives because the uplink repeatedly broadcasts instances of each retune message for the duration of the virtual network program. Instead, this table presents select metrics describing the retune message, as described below. Each table entry pertains to the most recent active retune message. A retune message is considered active when the activation time is in the past. The IRD replaces the current retuneMsgEntry when a new retune message is received having an activation time that is in the past but nearer to the present time than is the activation time of the current retuneMsgEntry. The IRD ignores retune messages in which the activation time is in the future. The virtual network ID indicates which retune message is targeted. This leaf serves as the index for the table. Make sure this index is set prior to accessing the following retune message parameters. Range = 1 - 256. |
