Category: Domain: Telco/Transport, Vendor: DPS Telecom

Description: Manages DPS Telecom NetGuardian D-series remote telemetry units for alarm and discrete I/O monitoring.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is DPS-MIB-NGD-V10?

DPS-MIB-NGD-V10 is a DPS Telecom proprietary MIB (extending the base DPS-MIB-V38 family) defining notification objects for the NetGuardian discrete-input alarm point monitoring platform. Its sole documented object is a notification generated when a specific discrete input point is set (triggered), consistent with DPS Telecom's remote telemetry unit (RTU) alarm model. As a hardware-status/notification MIB it exists to alert an operator via SNMP trap the instant a monitored discrete alarm point (such as a door contact or generator-fail sensor) changes state. It is deployed on DPS Telecom NetGuardian remote telemetry units. Engineers can download the DPS-MIB-NGD-V10 file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in DPS-MIB-NGD-V10. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • DPS Telecom NetGuardian remote telemetry units

Monitoring Examples

A network operations center subscribes to this discrete-point-1 trap to get an immediate SNMP alert the moment a monitored alarm contact (e.g., a site door or generator failure sensor) trips.

What Can Be Monitored

  • discrete alarm point trigger notifications
