What Is CXPCM-MIB?
CXPCM-MIB manages Aastra PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) channel configuration on CX WAN voice/data equipment, covering DS0 time-slot setup and per-channel performance. It exposes channel configuration (link/channel numbers, channel state) plus rich performance counters for RX/TX packets, desync events, not-ready conditions, RX busy states, and TX underruns, along with a debug table. This is strongly monitoring-oriented for hardware status: pcmSapChannelState reveals per-DS0-channel operational state, while counters like pcmSapTxUnderrun and pcmSapTxDesync directly flag clock/timing or hardware faults on that PCM channel. There is no stated dependency on external standard MIBs beyond typical CX proprietary conventions, though it complements CXChassis2/ifStack for interface identification. Deployment context is DS0/PCM trunk cards in Aastra CX WAN multiplexers carrying digitized voice traffic. Engineers can download the CXPCM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples
Poll pcmSapTable (keyed by pcmSapLinkNumber, pcmSapChannelNumber) for pcmSapChannelState to find channels stuck out of service, and watch pcmSapTxUnderrun or pcmSapTxDesync counters climbing as a sign of clock synchronization problems on that DS0 timeslot. pcmSapRxPacket and pcmSapTxPacket give basic per-channel traffic counts for comparison.
