Description: For a SAT two-way test, the remote end is expected to have a loopback for FLPDUs, but it may or may not have a Responder MEP to process DMMs. This object indicates whether the remote end has a Responder MEP or not. If the Responder MEP is present, two-way delay is computed by the Controller MEP once DMR is received, if the Responder MEP is not present, the two-way delay is computed when the Controller MEP receives the looped back DMM.

What is satStreamDestMepEnabled?

This read-write TruthValue tells the SAT stream whether the remote end of a two-way test has an active Responder MEP to process Delay Measurement Messages, as opposed to only looping back frames. An engineer sets this based on the remote device's actual CFM configuration, since it changes how the Controller MEP computes two-way delay, either from a DMR response or from the looped-back DMM itself. For example, disabling this when the far-end device lacks a configured Responder MEP tells the local Controller MEP to compute delay from the loopback timing instead of waiting for a DMR.
