Description: This object enables specification of the dead interval in seconds after 'esaProbePktsPerSample' have been generated within the sample. This allows for settling time of the ESA traffic. A non-zero value must be specified. NOTE: This attribute is not applicable to Y.1731 probes.
What is esaProbePktDeadInterval?
This read-write Integer32 specifies the dead interval in seconds after esaProbePktsPerSample packets have been generated within a sample, allowing settling time; a non-zero value must be specified; not applicable to Y.1731 probes. It sets a quiet period after each burst of probe packets so late-arriving replies aren't confused with the next sample. For example, increasing PktDeadInterval on a long-haul link with high round-trip latency prevents delayed replies from one sample bleeding into the next sample's statistics.
